Emerald COAST CRUZIN - 7-10 NOV
Arrived on the 8th so we missed Wed. Every day was packed with activities - very well planned. There was over 2200 cars registered.
The weather was beautiful except Thursday night at the concert which was held outside on the beach. Even though they had several heaters blowing it was still very cold!! The Car Show, Vendors, Auction and Live DJ were at Frank Brown Park which provided ample room and good access. Contests held throughout the show at the park . So much acreage and so may cars, "yours truly" rented a motorized chair to save the knee!
Lots of entertainment at the Resorts including the Original Drifters, Elvis impersonators, T. Graham Brown and others, free pizza at the welcome party (we missed that) and a laua....all free to registered guests.
The parade was great - several blocks down Front Beach Road - with traffic blocked off for the parade. This show is supposed to be modeled after "Cruisin the Coast" and is better in a couple of ways.....all of the cars are in one location so you can see them all and the traffic is not bumper to bumper. Bama Street Rodders convoyed the 250 miles there and back with a couple of other street rods joining. Everyone had a great time with no problems.
This is a wonderful way to "end the season" and get a nice vacation in before winter.
